ERASMUS+ EDUCATIONAL AID KITS IN THE FIELD OF RARE DISEASES
Fundación Isabel Gemio coordinates a new ERASMUS PLUS – ERASMS PLUS – VET – 2023-1-ES01-KA220-VET-000153677 EDUCATIONAL AID KITS IN THE FIELD OF RARE DISEASES, cofunded by the European Union. The entities that participate in this initiative are:
- Federación Española de Enfermedades Neuromusculares (Spain), a non-governmental organization that brings together associations and foundations for neuromuscular diseases. It currently represents more than 60,000 people affected throughout Spain.
- Universidade de Évora (Portugal),a center for the creation, transmission, and dissemination of culture, science, and technology, which, through study, teaching, and research, plays a fundamental role in society.
- Rare Diseases Croatia (Croatia) an umbrella organization that gathers 29 other non-profit organizations acting on behalf of patients with rare diseases, as well as more than 900 patients with rare diseases that don’t have their own patient organization.
- CESIE ETS (Italy), a European centre of studies and initiatives established in 2001, inspired by the work and theories of sociologist Danilo Dolci (1924-1997).
- CMT-France (France), an association of patients with peripheral neuropathies, managed by patients or parents of patients, aims to break isolation by bringing together people suffering from CMT or similar neuropathies.
OBJECTIVES:
- Transform vocational training into a more accessible and inclusive education for people with RD (rare diseases) that encourages them to carry out their studies in equity.
- Train future professionals without RD in the care of this target group, avoiding risks and negligence due to lack of knowledge of RD and opening new paths to employability.
- Establish an innovative working strategy between RD experts and VET teachers that allows them to include content related to RD and inclusive methods in their classrooms.
RESULTS:
- R1: METHODOLOGICAL GUIDE FOR THE INCLUSION OF STUDENTS WITH RD AND THE USE OF EDUCATIONAL KITS FOR THE CARE OF PEOPLE WITH RARE DISEASES IN VOCATIONAL TRAINING.
- R2: EDUCATIONAL KITS FOR THE CARE OF PEOPLE WITH RARE DISEASES.
- R3: VIRTUAL COURSE FOR THE TRAINING OF VET TEACHERS IN THE USE OF RESOURCES AND METHODOLOGY.
- R4: ADVICE AND GUIDANCE SERVICE FOR TEACHERS BY EXPERTS IN RD.
